Digital Design and Woodworking
Discover the blend of traditional woodworking and modern CNC technology in this hands-on, beginner-friendly course. Over four sessions, you’ll learn essential woodworking techniques, explore CNC design software, and create a custom hallway shelf.
What You’ll Learn:
Day 1: Wood Preparation
- Safety essentials for woodworking and CNC routing
- Understanding wood types and properties
- Measuring, cutting, and preparing wood for your project
Day 2: CNC Design & Programming
- Introduction to CNC routing and its capabilities
- Hands-on experience with VCarve Pro software
- Designing and creating toolpaths for your hallway shelf
Day 3: CNC Cutting & Preparation
- Setting up and operating the CNC router
- Cutting out project pieces with precision
- Sanding and preparing components for assembly
Day 4: Assembly & Finishing
- Assembling your custom hallway shelf step-by-step
- Applying finishing techniques for a polished look
- Final project review and creative enhancements
